Unable to find common/plugins folder to install Premiere plugins on Mac

New Here ,

I've purchased a third party plugin recently and was able to install it for After Effects by placing it in the folder /Applications/Adobe After Effects 2024/Plug-ins/Effects and it worked successfully. However, the readme says that to use it with Premiere (it's also compatible apparently) I need to install it in Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-Ins. I've found the Common folder but there is no plugins folder there. I looked everywhere for somewhere to install this plugin for Premiere and found absolutely nothing. Is it at all possible to install it, or am I looking at a readme and plugin that is out of date?

Hi @SophieJames,

I got your message. Thanks for the info. Normally, there is an installer from the plug-ins manufacturer. Have you tried using the installer for the plug-in rather than installing it manually? That should work. Let us know what trouble you are facing after trying that step. I hope it works!

Thanks,
Kevin
