I am attempting to create a simple intro using my logo for future videos. The idea is to introduce segments of my logo in an animated fashion on premiere pro. I have divided the sections of my logo into their desired layers and made the background transparent to apply to any video background, and saved it as a .png file. However, when I upload the .png file to premiere pro, I am unable to access the layers and edit them separately. Looking for a simple fix, as I am sure this is a very simple fix. I have searched youtube and forums, where I may not be using the correct verbiage to find a solution. I've also tried double clicking the video I imported in my sequence panel.
Don't save it as a png. Save it as a psd or tiff, which will support layers.
When you import it, you will be given the option to import as layers.
My suggestion would have also been to use a different format, particularly a PSD file.
