Video File Not Moving to Timeline

Explorer ,
Jan 14, 2024 Jan 14, 2024

Hi Everyone,

I am having issues moving different files on to the timeline. When I create a project it takes the settings of the initial file and then does not let me move the other file (only the audio) to the timeline. I've looked all over for a resolution and the best I've seen so far is "change the file extension".

I have attached screenshots of the each file info. I realize they are diffeerent file extensions, frame rate, and resolution, but I was under the impression Pr could handle this and I could adjust scaling etc in the timeline.

If it helps, they are two angles of the same event that I want to switch between.

Any help with this would be greatly helpful.

Thank you,

Matt

The most common user error is not source patching the track.
Solved by first opening clip in Source Monitor. Then drag/insert into timeline.
