Video files only playing short opening portion in Premiere Pro
We recently got Topaz Enhance AI and have been trying to bring the large MOV videos processed in there into Premiere Pro to work with. We had been able to do so successfully previously, but we recently built a new computer that is overall a big improvement and much faster. We copied our original startup drive and are running videos through Enhance AI with the same settings.
They are actually coming out looking better now, when played in an external video player, but the files now created in Enhance AI won't fully play back in Premiere Pro - we only get 30 seconds to 2 minutes that shows up in the Source window or a timeline. The full video is present in some external video players, and the full runtime is listed in Properties, but Premiere (and also Adobe Media Encoder) only show the files as extremely short.
I have been waiting on reply from Topaz about this and also chatted with Adobe customer support earlier. The person from Adobe thought the files might be corrupt. When I try to open the new, non-fuctional ones in Quicktime, they don't open and I get the error message "Error -2002: Bad public movie atom."
The codec for both the old (functional) and new (non-functional) files is Apple ProRes 422 HQ (apch). The framerate is different between the old and new, with the old ones being at 59.940060 and the new ones being at 59.940176 and I do see 'Decoded format: Planar 4:2:2 YUV 10-bit LE' in the Codec info for one of the new files, and this is not present on the old ones (or on the other new ones). However, I ran a few tests of very short clips of the same footage through Enhance AI and got new files that do open in Quicktime (and with no error message) and are at the same framerate as the other new files (59.940176). It seems with the longer files that something goes wrong.
Any insight would be appreciated - thank you!
