good afternoon! so i was working on a project last night. everytime i played it back it was great and worked perfectly. Today i load up Premiere pro and load back into my project and it is cutting in and out, not playing some parts of my project and being very laggy. I checked for GPU updates, not playing high quality playback, deleted media chache, and gave Premiere pro more RAM. still in the same spots of every video it lags cuts out or doesnt even play. im not sure what else to do.

Im not sure what you mean by disc drive. the files are in my documents on my PC. They are just dragged onto the timeline with a dissolve translation between them

Try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Sorry about the trouble. Which device did you use to record the footage that you're editing? Are they screen-recorded media?

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika
