Video lagging after export

Hi,
I am stumped. My preview in Premiere Pro is perfect but after exporting the video is lagging up to where it looks more of a slide show with still images.

I tried different solutions:

  • Creating a new sequence
  • Change the renderer in File > Project Settings to: Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Software Only)
  • Restart and export again
  • Different exportsettings

How can I fix this?

Thanks all for viewing this problem with me. I just restarted my entire laptop and updated it and somehow the video is playing correctly. So I believe that the issue was with my laptop and not with Premiere Pro.

I had a similar issue as well, and found that when I viewed the video on other platforms/devices it did not lag, it only lagged on my laptop (Lenovo Legion). I viewed the video on my phone and it did not lag at all.

How are you viewing it?

Does it play OK in another player?

If you import the exported file into Premiere Pro, does it play OK?

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Turn off hardware encoding (is not the same as MPE) and try again.

Hi Ann,
Thank you for the tip. I also tried Soft encoding but unfortunatelly that made no difference.
Any other tips?
