I have a video with subtitles/cc (burned in) I am exporting as an mp4. As soon as I click export and my video goes to render it goes black in preview. The final export as only audio.
In my hours of testing different settings, reset settings, rebooting, saving different copies, googling solutions etc. I stumbled across that maybe subtitle/cc seem to be the issue. If I select the "eye" symbol on the timeline to hide the subtitle/cc, then Export, it renders fine with audio and video, but of course without the cc that I need to have included. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to adjust with this latest update?
I am running windows, I am also running the current version of premiere pro. I did have the black screen issue last week but my IT updated my computer and then it was fine. So I know drivers etc are probably fine.

Adding more info: that I am able to get it to render (without the CC) by going to project settings and choosing the renderer "software only".
Sequence Render in Out does not cause any error at all.

Render in to out works only with software only or ?
The fact that "software only" works suggests exploring the graphics driver further. I was not having this problem in 23.4 and did not get the problem just now in 23.5.
@Kevin-Monahan Any better official guidance on drivers? I can't tell in a quick test whether the issue would be, for example, an integrated option like Intel and/or a discrete video card.

Kevin - I can't remember if I had it set to softare only at that test or not...that setting doesn't seem to matter...as long as I hide the cc track my video exports. My IT just has me make sure my drivers are up to date, according to my computer they are....but I had no problem a week ago and now have had two projects with this issue. My IT said they will look at it more once Adobe advises here other things to check....so hopefully someone can point me to more specific setting/updates to check.
Deborah - I haven't found a solution unfortunately, luckily my project is pretty easy (just a video recording with cc needed)...so I just exported the captions/transcript, exported the mp4. Then I had to import the video and captions into a different authoring tool and publish from there....very clunky process but I was able to finish my project.

Hey Rachel! Thank you for sharing your solution, I am so glad you could find a way to finish your project 🙂
I tried that method before, but it is not very practical for me since I create a lot of shorts. But it is a great alternative though, thank you and have a nice day!
