Hi I was editing and my computer crashed and now all of my glitch effects will not show up even after exporting the video. They still show up in the effect control but messing around with any of the settings changes nothing and it still doesn't appear. Ive tried rendering the video, ive tried deleting my cache files, the global FX button is not on. Everything ive searched up to try and do to fix it hasn't fixed it. is there anything im missing>

Another thing you can try is setting your Renderer to Software Only. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to File > Project Settings > General.
  2. Under Video Rendering and Playback, choose Mercury Playback Engine Software Only.

Also, keep in mind that your computer does not meet Adobe’s recommended system requirements for editing HD video. You can check the full details here: Adobe Premiere Pro System Requirements.

Never easy to troubleshoot premiere problems from a distance so please tell us your system specs: OS version, Premiere version, amount of RAM, Hardware specs including graphics card and if you have any 3rd party plugins installed for Premiere... Also, sequence settings and clip properties can also help. Although you can throw almost any format into premiere, some formats can be problematic, particularly on an underpowered system.

Have you tried resetting your preferences?

When I search effects in Premiere 2024 for glitch, the only thing that comes up vr digital glitch.  Is that what you're talking about?  Or is this a third party effect?

Yeah the VR Digital glitch is the effect im talking about, and all of the others effects in that category will no longer work for me. But every other effects seems to be working just fine

these are my specs

AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30 GHz

Ram 8.00 GB (5.95 GB usable)

I dont have any third party plugins installled, ive just been using what I got when I downloaded adobe premiere.

im pretty sure im using the latest verison of adobe.

But when my laptop had crashed I was in the middle of editting, and then it had blue screened and went into system repair. After this I reopened my file as it had saved and everything worked except for the immersion video category which include the VR digital Glitch

Just guessing here:  8 gigs of ram is probably not sufficient for this effect.  But try adjusting the memory usage in the preferences: memory and see if that helps... Are you running any other programs at the same time?  If so, try restarting your computer and do not launch any other programs while working in Premiere...    And make sure you have sufficient empty space on your startup drive...  a minimum of 20% is recommended.
