I have a project which consists of one Video track and eight Audio tracks.
The audio tracks are a mixture of MP4 audio (the audio of the video clips) and WAV files.
With the demise of Alex Audio Butler; I am having to export the audio as separate audio tracks; one for each channel which are then imported into End Boost; which is AAB's new project.
Unfortunately because Premiere Pro doesn't easily export all the tracks individually; it has to be a manual process one track at a time. (I have used Excalibur to automate the process).
The timeline is 16 mins19 secs long.
Exporting via Media Encoder it took 90 minutes to export the WAV files.
As my CC subscription only includes Premiere Pro; I thought I would take out a trial subscription of Audition.
I then transfered the timeline to Audition by doing "Edit In Audition - Sequence".
Once there I did an Export Multitrack Mixdown and in the Mixdown Options selected all the tracks.
About five minutes later I had all the separate tracks exported.
Although I am pleased this works; I would like to know:
(1) Why Premiere Pro doesn't let you export the audio tracks individually
(2) Why it takes so long to export the WAV files in Media encoder
It is all very well for Audition to do this perfectly but why should I have to pay an annual subscription for something that Premiere/Media Encoder should be doing quickly and efficiently in the first place.
