Weird Dynamic Link problem in 15.4.1

Just started out of nowhere. This project will not pick up the dynamic link anymore. When i try, you will see the photos below. I have my NAS mapped to Z, but for some reason it's coming up as the name (chonkyboy) instead when i try to manually locate it.
Ok, so that's not working. Fine, when i go to it and click on it, i get a hang, and then it asks for the composition to import. That window as you'll see is blank.

Following that, after hitting OK, I'll get a generic import issue.

The AE project behaves completely fine. I've gotten it "back in" by creating a new AE composition and then just shuffling them around, and it will stay fine until the project gets opened back up.
Really can't figure out what's going on with this. It really seems like it might be an issue with the mapping of the drive, but i can't figure out what's going on.
Pr 15.4.1
AE 18.4.1
Windows 10.whatever's current

I've tried pulling in the comp from AE directly to PP, it works fine, and i can replace it, but as soon as i close and restart the programs the same issue happens.

Is the drive set to sleep when idle?

Shouldn't be, I haven't changed anything to my knowledge. Where can I check that? I'm a total dummy at windows. Mac pro, and i'm still getting around my PC like a chump. It DID flick off at one point due to power, but it's done that before and it always comes back fine.

Hi Dave,

Thanks, I think I see where things might be going wrong. Can you please do a test where you check dynamic link with the NAS out of the chain and save it all locally? It would be good to verify whether we have a hardware or software issue.

Thanks,
Kevin
