New features
The 25.0 release of Premiere Pro features a powerful new context-aware Properties panel, a fresh, modern design, and a faster way to create a new project. It's the perfect time to update. 😊
Properties Panel in Premiere Pro
The new context-aware Properties Panel intelligently surfaces the most frequently needed tools just when needed, making Premiere Pro easier to learn for new users and more efficient for experienced pros.
Context-sensitive controls for adjusting video, audio, text, and graphics now appear in a single panel with Quick Actions and one-click access to additional tools when needed. And, for the first time ever in Premiere Pro, you can modify the properties of multiple clips simultaneously.
Refreshed, modern design
Premiere Pro features a fresh, new design that’s modern and more consistent. With two dark modes, a light mode and a high-contrast accessibility mode, you can customize the look and feel.
Switching between these modes gives you the flexibility to select the setting that best matches your environment and personal preference, whether for enhanced readability or improved visibility based on current lighting conditions.
You also get cleaner fonts and typography for better legibility and consistency with other Adobe Creative Cloud apps. That means you’ll spend less time re-learning how to use tools in our different apps and more time creating.
Select Preferences > Appearance to customize Premiere Pro for better readability and visibility based on your environment and preferences.
New Project creation dialog
The New Project creation dialog in Premiere Pro makes project creation much easier with features like naming, storage selection, template choice, project settings, and a 'skip import mode.'
Add a name and set a location for your new project using the project creation dialog box.
Expanded Canon Support
Work natively with Canon EOS C80 camera files. Import files and start editing right away. No transcoding is required.
Fixed issues in 25.0
Audio:
- Audio waveforms for a nested sequence could be incorrect depending on the zoom level.
Captions and transcriptions:
- With auto-transcription turned off, language auto-detection could still run on imported clips.
Editing:
- Scene Edit Detection could fail to add any cuts if it was run on the video portion of an unlinked audio-video clip.
- Dragging a clip up in the Project panel icon view could cause the panel to continuously scroll even after dropping the clip.
- Command + J on Mac or Control + J on Windows could not be used as custom keyboard shortcuts.
Effects:
- A crash could occur when changing the Bump layer from the default setting when using the Lighting Effect.
- Setting the Transform Effect Scale to below zero or modifying the Shutter Angle could cause the image position to shift.
- Effects could render incorrectly if scaling was set to be less than or equal to 50%.
- Pasting an effect in the Effect Controls panel that contained keyframes to a synthetic clip would not include the keyframes.
- In some complex projects containing many multicam sequences, media could be in a pending state long after a project opens.
Formats:
- A crash could occur intermittently during the playback of a particular format of YUV 4:2:2 10-bit media.
- Green frames could be visible on exported 8K 10-bit 4:2:0 media.
- Frame substitution errors could occur when working with AVC LongGOP media in an MXF container.
- After changing a clip from using the Original Timecode to Linear Timecode, attempting to switch back to the Original Timecode could fail to display the correct timecode.
Export:
- Exported videos could incorrectly include metadata, saying the videos were created in Photoshop.
