What Are These And Why Are They Happening?/Missing Media

What are these? (see attached)

I should have ONE file for "A Spindle For A Rose II", ONE file for "The Time Traveler II" and ONE file for "Witch Film".

Also, when I open "Witch Film", nearly all of my video footage is missing, even though the original footage files are in the same place on my laptop as they were when I made the sequences in Premiere Pro.  Nothing has been renamed or moved, and yet the footage still needs to be relocated.  What is happening?

Are those your auto-saves?

And are you using any external drives for the media?

I'm not sure what those things are, but I don't like how they crowd up my Documents.  I'm not using any external drives for the media.  I also have two folders called "Witch Film.PRV" that I'm not sure where they came from.  One has some rendered videos in it, and the other one has a folder named "Peak Files" in it.  Where did these .PRV folders come from and why are there two of them but each containing something different?  This all makes it incredibly difficult for me to organize things.

This is a huge, complex and complicated application. There's quite a learing curve, including how to set things up.

In your Project settings panel in Premiere, you can set where things like Autosaves go, previews (that's the prv files), audio waveform files (pek files) and such. You can in the Preferences panel set how often autosaves are created.
