What is the best way to generate an audio waveform on screen? Premier pro or after effects?

I have an audio file of a podcast, and the client would like the audio waveform shown on screen, moving along as the person speaks. What is the best way to do this using either premier pro or after effects?

Hey Sarah,

Thank you for your post. I recommend using After Effects to create the audio waveforms. I found a tutorial here: https://adobe.ly/45Ip1bv. You can add your After Effects composition to your Premiere Pro project using Dynamic Link (https://adobe.ly/44b8UAI).
