When I click Position in Effect Controls I get spinning wheel - v22.5.0

When I click Position in Effect Controls I get the spinning wheel that takes forever to go away, and even when it does, it is difficult to move the clip within the frame. And eventually it crashes. (Like it just did. Again. So I have to force quit just to post which version of Premiere I'm using.)

Help!

I've saved this file with a different name twice now and it keeps happening.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thought I would give a final report on the solutions. Ultimately, I stopped with resetting the preferences as that seemed to work. It still froze a bit, but over time it seemed to stop. Thanks Peru Bob!

Hey dentagency,

Sorry for the issue. Are you having this problem with a specific source file? Could you share the source file properties (Project Panel > Right-click on file > Properties) and your system specifications (OS, OS version, COU, GPU, RAM)? Let us know. We're here to help.

Thanks,

Ishan

Hi Ishan - It's more than one source file, but I attached the file info from the biggest file. macOS 12.5, M1 Max, 64gb RAM.

Thanks, Mike
