same as the wrench icon in media browser, file->project settings->ingest settings will give you the same dialog box:

Ah, the media browser. I never use it as it is essentially redundant - just drag and drop from the folders on your machine, no? I was meaning the project settings in the File menu to automatically transcode whenever you bring in some files to the Project. Loading old projects into 2017.1 seems to disable the Ingest tab.

No, the Media Browser is most certainly NOT redundant ... while one can drag & drop from the Finder/Explorer, often times much of the meta from the files does NOT get added to the PrPro project file when done that way. It takes no longer to use the Media Browser than Finder/Explorer, and ... it's more stable and complete.

When bringing in old projects, PrPro does assume they're past the ingestion stage. You can however select media in the Project panel, right-click, and select Create Proxies. Again, using one of the pre-built presets or one you've already created yourself and "added" in PrPro.

Click on the wrench next to the Ingest check box, or are you asking something else?

Yes ... in the Media Browser panel, there's a check-box for Ingestion, and beside that a wrench icon for the settings. Within that dialog box is where you set transcode or proxy options.

And of course, for basic transcoding, using watchfolders within AME is slick.
