Question

Where can I find a list of "Adobe Certified GPU cards"?

Some listings of hardware requirements for apps that can take advantage of hardware acceleration with a GPU refer to an "Adobe Certified GPU card" for the GPU requirement for hardware acceleration.

For example, for Prelude: "Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU-accelerated performance"

Other apps like Premier have "Recommended" graphics cards, and After Effects only lists the nVidia driver version.

Where can I find this list of Adobe certified graphics cards, and is there no support for AMD cards?

The cards are changing so fast it would be a zany waste of time to test them all. So they put out a list of minimum specs.

The specific framework required is CUDA 9.2 for Nvidia cards

Get as much VRAM as possible. The RTX 2060 Super is the best bang for the buck

No guarantees for Open CL

The application hardware needs are listed and those include general specs for the GPUs that are usable. I wouldn't go farther back in Nvidia than a 1000-series card, or with an AMD card with a "launch" date earlier than say early/mid 2018.

And keep above 4GB of RAM, the more the better.

Puget Systems and Safeharbor Computing have information on their sites for recommendations for GPUs.

And remember the CPU is the heart of Premiere, the GPU is an assistant. I've seen people with a slow 4 core CPU that put an RTX2080 in. And complained it wasn't doing much. Well ... that CPU was simply not powerful enough to chew through the process fast enough to need much from that GPU at any one moment.

Thanks, I was only mildly curious because I'd never heard of Adobe having a hardware certification program for any of its creative suite products.

So what everyone is saying is that there is no such list nor program? Seems like a strange error to make, specifically putting "Adobe-certified GPU card" in the minimum specs (The one for Prelude that caught my eye is here)

I don't think there is any such list.
Only a list of recommended cards.
