hi all, i don't find the Essencial Graphic panel under the window drop down menu, i am trying to change the Mogrts/preview cover photo, but don't see it, is it not included in Premiere pro? (i know adobe effects has it, and i thought premire pro might have it too)
please help, thank you.
@burgerqing The Essential Graphics panel has been renamed to the Graphics Templates panel for browsing. To edit mogrts, you will use the new Properties panel by clicking on the clip in the timeline, and the controls will populate in the Properties panel.

With After Effects mogrts, the thumbnail can be set via "Set Poster Time" button and the name changed in the Essential Graphics panel in After Effects: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/creating-motion-graphics-templates.html
With Premiere mogrts, the thumbnail is generated where the CTI is located when you export the mogrt in Premiere Pro.
Doing the edits to this template inside of Premiere Pro unfortunately will not work as they need to be done in After Effects. Only Premiere Pro mogrts can be edited in Premiere Pro and re-exported to create new mogrts.
.aegraphics are part of the .mogrt file structure of an After Effects created mogrt. It contains an AEP inside of it. So you should be able to open the .aegraphic in After Effects and apply your changes there and re-export the file.
Go to After Effects, go to File -> Open and

Theresa technically has the correct answer, but it can still be very confusing.
Because the Properties panel is "context aware", the contents constantly change according to what is currently selected. In very, very specific technical detail.
So you can select a grahics clip/mogrt on the sequence, yet only see positional options for scale/size/rotation in the Properties panel. Because it's only currently "seeing" the whole "clip" as selected.
Click on a text part or shape in the Program monitor, and suddenly ... you get the full EGP type controls in the Properties panel.

As stated, you have to click on what you want to edit to make the controls available in the Properties panel.
That's what they mean by 'context aware' for the Properties pane. So click on the name in the Program monitor, and you will see the controls appear in the Properties panel.

Thank you so much you are amazing. one more question, i download a lower third template like this, it works perfectly in Premire pro, i thought it is a Mogrts file other Mogrts, but after some edits "changed colors, font s ize", it looks like i can't export it to a new customized Mogrts, and i check the file name, it shows "aegraphic" file? it is my first time see this "aegraphic" file other than "Mogrts". should i export it in Mogrts to add it to my own Mograt collections after i customize it? Thank you.

Go to After Effects, go to File -> Open and select the aegraphic. It will ask where you want to extract the collected AEP. Now in the Essential Graphics panel (EGP), you can find the controls you'd like to change. If you need to find the control in one of the comps, you can double click on the control, and the focus will jump to it.
Give your new mogrt a new name in the EGP, click Export Motion Graphics Template... at the bottom, save and send it over to Premiere Pro and check it out. Your new mogrt will be in the Graphics Templates panel.
Cheers,
Theresa

Mogrts usually have two different colors when show on timeline. some are red and some are purple. red means made in AE, purple means made in PR ?

Yup, you are correct, those are the default label colors for those clip types.
The other way to see which mogrt type is in the Properties panel, the control sets are different and the icon next to the name of the mogrt are different (Dynamic Link icon for AE mogrts and Graphic icon for Pr mogrts).
