Why Did Premiere Export Make My 2 Min Video 2 Hours Long
I filmed myself starting and completing a painting in hopes of doing a timelapse. I recorded @24fps and increased each clip speed via Speed/Duration by anywhere from 2500-3000% depending how long the original recording was. They played back and rendered fine. When I went to export them, the export time was originally at 37 hours. I already knew it was ridiculous, so I canceled and restarted only to see that the number would change, but it was still way too long of an export for a 2 minute video with color grade and a few text layers. Eventually I figured out that the export seemed to go faster when the computer wasn’t sleeping or was in use, so I stuck around a bit and came back after leaving it alone. It finished and I decided to open up the video to do a final view. It exported a part of the ending of the edited video and then proceeded to play the beginning to the ending of the video- IN REAL TIME. The music had long stop and it continued playing the videos in their originally recorded speed. I don’t know what went wrong and I keep opening the export window, but it insists on exporting the full the length of the videos. There’s no way of wording my situation online. I always end up with “How to make Premiere export faster” HELP. I don’t want the work to go to waste.
