Why does Capture screen freeze?

I had this problem before CC2017, and was told the new update would cure it.

It did not!

When capturing from my tape deck, the screen freezes on the first frame,

and the audio also freezes.

Very disapponting.

would you please provide these info so we can be able to help:

Whats your OS version ?

Whats your Deck type?

Type of connectivity between the Deck and PC (Firewire,SDi..etc) ?

is it happen always from the first frame or sometimes ?

is the capture windows still functional or not responding ?

try this:

- disable your GPU from the device manger

- delete the Entire adobe folder in My Document which Premiere recreate automatically (backup the folder if you have specific settings and shortcut).

Now try to capture, and let us know
