Question

Will i lose quality if i change sequence settings back to original size - (after having converted it to a lower resolution in a Multi Cam Sequence.)

A Cam has a resolution of 3200x1800, and B Cam has a resolution of 4608 x 2592.

I combined most of my library, over 50 different clips/takes into Multicam Sequences. What i didn't realize is i didn't input the frame size for the B Cam's resolution during the multi cam sequence creation, so all the sequences automatically converted to A Cam's frame size 3200x1800, cropping out part of my B Cam image.

What i want to know is if i go into the sequence settings of each sequence and edit the frame numbers to support B Cam's 4608 x 2592, will the resulting sequence be my original image, or will it be an upscaled image. Will there be any resolution loss? Or do i need to go back through my library and manually link all the appropriate clips & audio into new Multi Cam sequences.

Thank you kindly

It'll match without upscaling, however the A cam may now be upscaled, depending on some settings.

Okay great. What settings would determine upscaling it?

Attached is a screenshot of before and after.

1st Screen shot is - "Scene 10a, multicam, take 2" in the converted 3200x1800, as displayed in the source monitor.

2nd Screen shot is "Scene 10a, multicam, take 2_ver2" reverted through sequence settings to 4608 x 2592, as displayed in the source monitor. In the source monitor is a multi cam display, on the right is my Cam A. It shows it to be surrounded by black bars leading me to believe it didn't upscale the image, it just enlarged space around the frame. Correct?
