With the new UI changes, it's harder to select and move transitions.

Sometimes I need to slide a transition left or right after placing it, when I am okay with the transition duration, but want it to start earlier or later. Sure I could hold shift and adjust the start and end points manually, but in the past I could just grab the whole transition and slide it left or right. This is still technically possible with the new UI, but much harder, because it seems like 95% of the time, the click goes right through the transition and clicks on the clip instead, moving the clip instead of the transition. I tend to have to try clicking on several different parts of the transition before it's actually selected, then I need to click again at that exact same spot before I can drag left or right. Happens for both video and audio transitions, but I seem to have more of a problem with audio transitions.

I'm here because I was searching for a solution to roll back to the older look. It's much more annoying trying to select transitions, especially multiple transitions. Terrible decision on Adobe's part.

I am with you 100%. It's become a chore to click on a transition to select it, to trim it or to copy/paste it. It's a terrible UI.

Hello @morphinapg thanks for reaching out. Want to follow up around the issue you just found. For the new transitions, we left a small area at the bottom of the transitions so users can still trim the clips if needed. You should still be able to click around the rest of the the transition area to move it. One thing I notice based on your comment is that the top target areas of the transitions have indeed a bug. We just logged it and sent it to the team. Thank you for reporting this issue.

So am I supposed to grab the transition by the dark grey area if I want to slide it left or right? Grabbing by the corners just makes it bigger and smaller and that's not what I want. I don't think this is particularly intuitive. Would probably be better if the transition didn't cover that much of the track, then there would be space to grab both the clip and the transition, without the clip grabbing happening through the transition, which is an odd behavior.

Although obviously, if someone has only an audio transition, or only a video transition, they have plenty of space to grab the clip, so perhaps it would make sense to shrink the size of the transitions specifically when they are using both audio and video transitions at the same spot, to give them a small space between the transitions to grab the clip edges with. I think something like that would make more sense than the current behavior.
