Working with 8 track audio

Hello

I am attempting to export a media file that contains 8 seperate mono auio tracks.  I am able to set up and get proper levels but when I export the media Premier bounces down to a full stereo mix with all 8 tracks having the same mix and not what is originally on those tracks.  For ex: I have 1 voc , 1 bass, 1 horns, 1 strings, etc all on individual tracks over 8.  When I export the string track get a mix of all tracks and not just the strings.  Same for every other track.  All I would like is to have a final video file that has 8 seperate mono audio tracks with the individual instumentation I have in the timeline.

I am exporting to a quicktime file and under audio I have 8 mono tracks but adobe fills each of them with a mix of all 8.

When you create a new sequence, here is where you select "Multichannel"

Thank you so much for the response. Yes my master track is set to multichannel and my other setting follow yours. I’m still getting the same results. Thanks for helping.

    Hi zappavin1,

If I understand correctly, I believe this requires you have your sequence's master track set to a mulitchannel sequence. Is your sequence set to stereo, 5.1, mono, or multichannel? If it is not set to multichannel, then you can create a new sequence with the same video settings, but under the Tracks tab, make sure your master is set to multichannel.

Then when you export, certain movie formats support multiple streams. QuickTime, for example, lets you export 8 mono tracks, as I'll show below.
