XML Import does nothing.

I've recieved subtitles from a client in the form of PNGs and an XML (I have done this a million times and usually works fine) but today when I try to import the XML into Premiere (14.7) nothing happens - no errors or messages at all.

I uninstalled, resinatalled, restarted everything I could think but still nothing.

I tried installing and older version of Premiere (13.1.5) to see if that would fix it and when I try to import the XML I at least get an error message:

 

I also dug out an old iMac I have to see if that works and the XML imports fine.

Which makes me think Something has changed on my current MBP recently to cause this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
