XMP Metada not editable

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to edit the camera label metadata info of my clips but, in the metadata xmp panel, it says the files are "<Not Editable>". These clips are proxies and I'm intending to use them on a multicam sequence. I just checked the permissions on my root folder on the desktop level and it says "Read & Write".

I'm working on "Productions".

My specs:

Adobe Premiere Pro 24.3.0

Mac Studio Apple M1 Max

Sonoma 14.5

Thanks,

Marcos H.

Samezees.  Even if I do add a number/value to the 'Camera Label' field, it doesn't update in the Project panel.  You can see in the screenshot it says <Not editable> up by the filename.  Hmph.

Hi Marcos,

Are the proxies attached as proxies or normal clips?

If they are attached as proxies and the full resolution media is offline, the File metadata fields will not be editable – they need the full resolution media to be connected for that.

Cheers,
Paul

Thank you for your response, Paul. I'm using the proxies as stand-alone / normal clips. I created them on Da Vinci and ingested them into Premiere.

Best,

Marcos H.
