Greetings Community.
I'm currently trying to render some videos in 8K 60 FPS for a small project on YouTube.
Unfortunately, after processing the videos, YouTube only shows me a maximum resolution of 4K.
I'd like to know how to export the videos correctly in Premiere Pro so that the videos on my channel are also listed in 8K.
I've already seen several tutorials on YouTube that show presets for 8K export. Unfortunately, they weren't particularly helpful.
I would be happy if someone could help me with my problem.
My computer specs:
CPU: i9-14900K
RAM: 128GB DDR5
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090
Adobe products are installed on an NVME SSD
Alright. I found the solution to the missing 8K resolution on YouTube.
After uploading over ten short test videos using different rendering methods, I was able to see the first 8K videos after a few days.
For anyone currently experiencing the same problem: My Premiere Pro 8K preset has the correct settings.
I also had to open the YouTube editor after uploading and delete a millisecond from the video. Then, the video processing restarted, and after a short time, the desired 8K resolution appeared.

The only out of the ordinary is the audio: sequence is 44hKz and export is 48hKz.
Try with all the max depth and render off.

Did a little test. Mine does not go beyond 4K either.
So I have no idea.

I saw a post on another forum that to get 8k on YouTube takes having a full subscription and perhaps a ton of already uploaded content or something. I don't remember all the details.
But essentially, most users do not "qualify" for 8K videos after processing. That may be the issue here.

Account is 11 years old, and I have a bunch of videos uploaded already.
Also, few thousand subs.
There are some accounts that only have few 100 subs and have uploaded 8k videos.
If there are any requirements I would like to know.

Then you would know more than most of us "here".
I've never shot 8k media, it's pretty high-end stuff. I work for/with/teach pro colorists, and that's not something they even get as a 'deliverable' very often. In fact, most have never dealt with outputting an 8K file. Working from them, yes ... delivering, no.

Your export settings and steps are completely fine, just that YouTube only actively shows convertion till 4K and takes longer to process 8K versions in the background while your video is up and available till 4K. Most times it can take upto a a few days to a week for 8K version to be avilable and the best part (sarcastically) YouTube doesn't show any message on the creator studio that 8K processing is still underway.
I'd suggest waiting it out and checking after some time, the export settings and everyhting seem fine.
