Zoom UAC-232

I just purchased the Zoom UAC-232 and can't seem to get access to the higher DR of it by lowering the gain. I've used the Zoom F6, Zoom F2, and Zoom MicTrak 3 which all record at 32 Bit Float as well, and at least Adobe Audition is able to "unclip" the audio by reducing gain. Is this a known issue with this new interface, can Adobe Premiere natively work with 32 Bit float files and recover the "clipped" audio by lowering the gain like Audition does with other files?

    You note that when using the F6 as an audio interface, 32-bit float recording works in Adobe apps.  Thus it's especially reprehensible that lazy Zoom after nearly two years has failed/refused to simply make this product work properly in Adobe apps.

      I've noted that the document from Zoom addressing the compatibility of the UAC-232 states that both Premiere and Audition for MacOS work with no issues with the interface, but Audition and Premiere for *Windows* have a footnote that states that:

      "Operation with 32-bit float setting is possible, but values of 0 dB and higher cannot be handled"

      I don't know if the limitation affects using the interface for recording or for editing 32-bit float files in the DAW, but I'd be interested to know, as it will influence any investment into 32-bit float if it does not work in Windows - which this seems to suggest. Is this a limitation from Adobe's side, from Microsoft's side or from Zoom's side?
