Add a note pad window and clipboard manager

If you are on windows 11 you can hit Start + V to bring up a pasteboard. You can pin items within. I keep my preroll timecode in there but you could keep other relevant text strings as well.

You have to hit clear all I to see your pinned items I wish they stayed on top but they go to the bottom confusingly.

There are two  ways of doing that at this time ... first, you can use say Notepad in windows, make and save a 'note'. Then drag that into the Project panel from Explorer.

And you can double-click on it to open and add or change things. @Jarle Leirpoll pointed that out years ago.

Or ... check with aescripts.com and knightsoftheeditingtable.com ... as both sites have relatively low cost plugins/panels for Premiere that can do this.

I have often thought a notepad tab would be helpful for temporarily holding timecodes. An editor also could type in a note to remember a task/edit/revision that it in your head at the moment and needs to be done later. Sure, you could use a marker but if the note pertains to more than one timeline or clip, that is less helpful. A reminder like, "don't forget to change the date on the 14 slates before exporting all the sequences in ME."
