Adobe Premiere Pro UI Themes gives Eye Allergy and Eye straining issue while editing

Hi there, I used Adobe Premiere Pro for almost 8 years and I am quite comfortable with it because I Love the way it works but now a days I face a critical Health issue from it. Actually, my eyes are hurting a Lot in new Premiere Pro 2025.

I try to change the theme by going to Premiere > Preferences > Appearance. There three colour themes are present, they are "Darkest", "Dark" and "Light". I tried with each theme but result is same, it gives me horrible eye strain and literally water is coming out from my eyes and develop eye allergy as well. I have a small YouTube channel name "TECHNIACL MAITY", Actually I edit a lot of videos of my channel using Adobe Premiere Pro because it's one of my favourite video editing Software in this world.

But now I face this pathetic issue. I don't face this issue in earlier versions of Premiere Pro like - (Premiere Pro cc 2017, 2019) but I don't know what the Adobe developers applied in the Source Code resulting eye strain.

Hope someone help to restore the Previous version of Premiere pro colours and themes really Love that past.

If Adobe unable fix this then I definitely cancel my Creative Cloud subscription.

I'm in the same boat. Their three settings of Dark, Darkest and Light don't cater at all. I'm looking for a setting between Dark and Light, I used to be able to achieve this in older versions. Not anymore.

I hope you can find a solution for your issue. 🙂

For now, in your screenshot @merun_kumar_3684 , there is the 'Accesebile color contrast' button, you can try turning that on, it does boost the lighter colors/white in the dark themes.

Thanks for your comment, I hope now Adobe takes a strict action regarding their Premiere Pro UI Themes because their millions of people suffering from the same issue. Actually, we are adopted to this software so much that it's very much difficult for us to move to Another Video editing software.

I am really Amazed that Adobe is such a huge company then why they don't hire any Good Eye Doctor Specialist so that those Health Professional can properly calibrate the colour which are easy on eyes.

Previous versions of Premiere Pro like - Premiere Pro (24.6.4) and the Last one 25.0 have really terrible UI causing serious eye strain but thanks to Adobe that they take necessary steps to counter this issue. Because of me they fixed the issue but the sad part is only 70% of the problem is solved because eye strain significantly less in the latest version of premier pro (25.1).

Until it's reaches 100% safe, I never ever edit any videos on it. Because my eye Health is my primary concern. Hope Adobe Engineers like and read this post and comments again like previous time and just complete the safe level to 100%.

I just want to the UI colours and depth and colour temperature of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 v11.0.2. Because that's are perfect for eyes. Hope some development team listen our words.

Please kindly upvote my post so that this issue gets worldwide attention. We give our hard earn money to Purchase Premiere pro but in a exchange we get eye strain, dry eyes etc. It's really very bad for humanity.
