I need a way to nativly edit all selected Sequence's Settings at once.

Also, I would like to golabaly edit Premieres default new Sequence Settings, instead of it trying and guessing based on the type of media already loaded into the project.

I would even accept Premiere mathcing the imported media exactly, for example, when I drag a Apple Prores 422 Proxy file into the empty timeline window, it creates a match sorce sequence at every step, accept for the codec. It creates an Apple Prores 422 LT.

Premiere doesn't have a default sequence. It simply looks at the framesize, framerate and audio channels of the first clip chosen, and grabs the first codec in their list of camera/codecs that matches. Doesn't even look at the codec used.

And I'm guessing you're assuming that it is selecting ProResLT because that is the preview setting? That's only for making previews ... it isn't the 'assumed' codec of the sequence.

If you want a specific sequence setting, modify a sequence to the settings you want. Save it and as a named user preset it will be at the top of the preset settings list.

Yes, I wish it did. I like that the only way to create a 120 fps timeline is by bring in a 120fps clip...

I have custom sequence settings presets that are set and used regularly.. on my machine. My isue is when it come to colabaration. I do not like having to go behind team editing sequence settings to the correct settings. I need set it and forget it solutions. In most areas, premiere has been able to achieve this.

I could also talk about how now, when exporting a timeline with In/Out points set, Premiere will randomly chooses when and if it will export the In/Out or the Entire Sequence reguardless. My isue is in its default action. It used to always default to rendering only the in and out points. Not sicne 2023
