Can't copy and paste descriptions for multiple items

Hey Adobe, what version are we on, and we still can't copy a description and paste it to multiple clips, but have to do it individually.  This was a feature in Final Cut 7 (and earlier).

Little things like this make the difference and save us editors time (and money).  How about a little help here?

Yes, would be nice but this does the job. Happy that you pointed it out to me.

I got used to using it some time ago, and don't even think about it anymore.

Would be nice though if we could copy/paste metadata in the bin in list view ...

Thanks.  That is one of those menu options I just never noticed.  Great tip and worked perfectly.

Oh right ... you need to use the Metalogging workspace. Sorry about that ... 😉

In the bin there is a column called description.

I type in a description for the clip - it might be 'Helicopter POV'.

I have 8 clips with the same video so I'd like to, as in FCP 7, copy and control-click and paste the description into the other 8 clips.  But I can't.  I have to do it individually, which is time-consuming.

Do you have a secret way to do this?

Puzzling ... so describe where you're at when trying to do this. I've done this with metadata frequently, wondering what specifically you're doing.
