Default Sequence Settings 25.2.1

Is there any way to set the default new sequence settings in PP25.2.1?

For example; on this sequence dialog,  I would like the output to ALWAYS be Rec709, and working Space Also to be REC709, regardless of the media type on the timeline.   In my case I have lots of HLG footage I put on the time line, but need everything to be REC709 out.  Currently, I change it every time I create a new sequence, but would really like to have a default;

As a side note,  I wish they would mark the timeline visibly so you can see what it is is (for output color space and working color mode) so you don't have to edit the seq settings to confirm;  it doesn't even seem to appear as metadata options for sequences in the project window either.

Yea, I'd like a 'default' option also. I'd upvote it.

That said, I don't understand why you're trying to set CM in that panel. I mean, you can set one thing, but why would you?

All color management settings are in the Lumetri panel Settings tab. ALL.

So you see everything at once, in one place.

Also, most settings are 'sticky' ... so for instance, if you have auto detect log, auto tonemapping, and sequence set to Rec.709, that's what you'll get next time you create a sequence.

UNLESS ... you start a sequence with say an HLG clip ... then it will default to the color space/range of the clip. Which is where and when having a default option capability would be so useful.

And I hope a mod will change this to the Idea post section ... @Ann Bens  or anyone?

Neil; I do in fact start a sequence by either selecting all the HLG clips, and create new from selection or drop of them on the timeline.  I will see if I can adapt to create the Sequence first, and then drop the clips on the timeline (or setup a template for new projects).  I prefer to create a seq from selection, but I will try it the other way - A default setting in preferences should not be a big deal to add (and maybe a confirmation dialog to click ok on).

I will also try your suggestion of the lumetri panel settings tab also and see how that flows for me too.

Great tips, thank you!

User customized sequences saved appear at the top of the New Sequence dialog options. So making a couple as need might work for you.

I know others that have bins named for Sequence formats, and have a sequence in them that is duplicated to create a new sequence of that set of settings.

Different strokes, right?

Would be nice to be able to set a default sequence though. I think a lot of people would use that.
