Differential Export

Feature request:

You know how the program is smart enough to know what changes can cause parts of the timeline to require re-rendering?  This optimization saves a bunch of time!  I would like the same 'logic' applied to exporting.

Here's a pretty typical use case...I'm working on a long, complex sequence with many effects.  I finish work, then export, which takes a good while due to effects.  Upon review, I find that I didn't set the in point correctly, or some other minor issue.  When I export again, I want Premiere to ask me if I want to use the previous export as an additional source--if I say yes, then the portion of the previouly exported file that doesn't need re-rendering can simply be a bit-for-bit copy of the stream.  This would save oodles of time.

If I just forgot to move the in point from the beginning of the sequence to the start of the first clip, the 'differential transcoding' feature simply determines the new in point, then copies the stream from that point forward into the new file, which would take seconds vs. minutes or hours.

Of course, if I made some global change or something that affects most of the file, it may not save much time.  And silicon Macs are so much faster with transcoding now.  However, I still think this would be a welcome feature for fixing minor imperfections in the edit.  It would benefit users on all platforms, and with all skill levels.

Media Encoder complicates things, but I still think it's a pretty easy feature that could save time, skin, and trees  :-).
