Interpret Footage Dialogue From Timeline

Ability to invoke the Interpret Footage dialogue from the timeline by right clicking on the clip and the option being there like in the Project window, or being able to use the keyboard shortcut I've assigned to it.

Because as of now, with the shortcut assigned, I still cannot select the clip in my timeline and use the keyboard shortcut.

I often need to adjust the frame rate of stock.

Oh, yea, for cadence issues, Interpret Footage can be the correct tool. But as Ann suggests, please! ... batch anything you can. Unless you're paid by the minute and the boss don't care, of course ... lol.

Even then, some cadence things are still best with the official 3:2 pull-down operation in AfterEffects.

That’s good to know for freelance work. I’m very fortunate to be on salary so I’m usually not in the same kind of rush.
Thank you for the education of the term “cadence”.

Why not batch interpret footage before starting to edit.

What specifically are you using Interpret to change?

It is meant only for things like where you have a cadence change, it is not meant for 'normal' fps changes.

So there are very few things where Interpret Footage should be used to change framerates.

Nearly all changes should be made using Speed/Duration.

I often need to convert 23.97/25 stock to 29.97 to eliminate jutter.
Whenever I need to speed up/down footage, I still use the speed/duration dialogue.
