We are gauging interest to see if our users' aesthetic needs are being met!
Is the current color scheme of the interface sleek and professional or do you wish it was lighter? Is it easy on your eyes during tedious edit sessions? Most importantly, do you wish it came in pink?

Here's a link for more details on current interface customizability: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html#brighten_or_darken_the_interface

The console is "meant" for the engineers debugging processes. Users can seriously screw things up in it.

That's why they do not allow discussions of using it on their forums.

The light mode video was useful! I hate the dark interface. Setting the SupportLightUI.PPro is a great trick.

Why was my reply edited with useful info deleted?

this is an option that exists it is just buried in the console.

It would be far more helpful if you could expand on that a bit. They're asking for our ... and your ... opinions.

So give them your thoughts. Please!

No, they are not.

Colour scheme is not the place I would start that discussion.

I just wish you could extend the light-dark slider range to go all the way up to near white and near black, as well as change the color/hue of the blue accent

I also wonder about how Caroline's question is phrased. She seems to set "sleek and professional" against "lighter", which are considerations on completely different levels, as far as I'm concerned.

An UI can be sleek and professional, but stupidly dark, which makes it a pain to use. Or it can be horribly badly designed, clumsy, unresponsive, whatever, and agreeably light.

I guess the ideal configuration is a sleek and professional GUI together with a light color scheme... and I only complain about the color scheme in Premiere's case. So there's that. 🙂

"Dark mode" in general is a total stupidity on computers, I despise it. It kills my eyes.

Why have humans hacked their way through nature to make paper as white as possible and ink as dark as possible? Because it's the natural polarity of things presented on 2D surfaces since the cave men: dark subjects on bright substrates. Why go against it? It's total nonsense.

Now add to this that Premiere doesn't even offer the possibility to get this natural, positve color scheme -- which is quite hard to explain.
