Metadata Creation Date

I work a lot on historical video projects (Year in review), working with dozens or hundreds of clips in a timeline. I would like to display the date that a video file was created in my finished product, but to look up the date that each clip was created adn then create a title for each would take an extraordinary amount of time. Can the Metadata & Timeline burn in effect include a "clip creation date" display option? Also, since the title would be part of a finished video project, I would liekt ohave the option of creating titles that are appealing: being able to edit the font, stoke, drop shadow, leading and kearning etc. Is that possible to add to the metadata & timeline burn in effect, or is there already a mean to create my desired effect? Thanks

Upvoted. It's silly you can't pull that metadata and display it in a title, when I can so clearly see that it's there in the clip's metadata. This would be a great solution for imitating the old date-stamped functionality of old home videos. Instead, we have to manually look at the date and put the title in.

I explored a bit further, but no time to do this justice. BTW, my conclusion is that the best feature request is for adding a "custom" field that you can select from ANY of the metadata options that can be added to a column. If format is a limitation, add a DATE custom/selectable field, a TEXT one, etc.

My exploring results:

Is there is a plugin that will copy/manipulate metadata in PR so that you can get the date into a field that you can display?

Try this plugin search: https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/browse/cc?locale=no_NO&page=1&pp=PPRO&ppv=24.0&product=PPRO&q=metadata&sort=RELEVANCE

Can you modify a file's metadata outside PR so PR can see a field that it will display? I looked briefly at exiftool, but it is limited for video file support. Others have looked for adding custom tags to exiftool. But the video limitations are relevant.

Upvoted.

The options seem limited; and i didn't see any other option if using any of the overlay effects on export.

I'll use such metadata fields as "Scene" or "Shot" or "Log Notes" and add the info I want to show. Does anyone make a script that will copy metadata in PR from one field to another?
