Option to choose standard bin view

Contributor ,
Nov 03, 2024 Nov 03, 2024

Please allow to set a standard bin view.

Now it seems to default to icon view, and also it opens a new project window often times when i use "reveal in project" for a sequence or a clip.

Also every time i open the project it opens up in icon view no matter which view preset i have set.

I find it makes no sense to see a bin with many sequences in icon view.

I always have to switch to list view manually.

The view mode for projects and bins is stored within the project file itself, meaning it overrides the workspace view mode.

To reset the view mode for an entire project to List View, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new project in Premiere Pro.
  2. Set the Project panel to List View.
  3. Import your existing project into the new one (File > Import).

This process resets the project and all its bins to List View.

Not seeing this always opens in List View.

Does not always remember the thumbnails though.

I'm getting exactly the same since the latest update. Everytime all my project folders open in icon view, despite EVERY time I click on list view and save my project. It's so annoying.

To All,

I built a new Windows 11 computer and installed a fresh version of the Adobe Suite, 2 weeks ago.
I am seting up new workspaces in Premiere Pro 25.1.0.  I cannot seem to change and retain the default "List View" in my project panel.  If I change workspaces, it always defaults back to "Icon View"  this was never an issue prior to this latest installation.

Is this a bug?

Regards

David T.

You need to set that in each workspace. Then save as an updated workspace.

Yes, I tried that.  It just reverts back to Icon View when I choose "Save changes to this worklspace"...

I can make a quick screen recording.  But, before I do that I am going top to trying deleting my preferences to see if that fixes it..

I've even recently have seen it get stuck on Icon view. I'm loath to change it for various test problems I see on the forums here. It seems stick eventually. Once in awhile I create a new workspace from from the All Panels default workspace. It seems to help sometimes.
