Hi everyone, thanks for the passionate feedback. Francis from Adobe here. I’m a Principal Product Manager on Premiere Pro.

The real talk is that yes, we did underestimate how many of you were utilizing the Console to adjust font size!

UI font size adjustment has been a request that’s been made for years and got shifted or re-prioritized from time to time. As your monitors have gotten larger, your requests have understandably got louder.

You’ve probably seen that Adobe moved to a new unifie

Neil - I'm looking to to move from Mac to PC/Windows10, and a 4K 32" monitor. Was looking up scaling and came across this. Is this still the case under Windows with non-interger scaling? I Photoshop, Premiere, and a bunch of the Adobe CC apps a lot, so want to be sure. I can't use a 4K monitor at 100% (too tiny) nor at 200%  (too large), so was hoping 125% or 150% at most. I can't test, so asking you if you still notice this issue. Also, I assume the scaling will only affect the UI elements of the Adobe programs - the photos in PS and the video in PR will show at 100% 1:1 pixels, correct?

100, 150, 200 are all fine. And some are able to work at other percentages, but it's not normally 'solid'.

So yes, work with the 150%. And you are correct about image sizing within, as those are only settings for the graphical UI bits.

Hello.

I'm on a MacOS Catalina platform (MB Pro 15" late 2016) .

The Display Resolution is 2560 x 1440 on my external Eizo CG277.

I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2020, Version 14.8.0.

The UI font size is very small.  How do I adjust it? I can't figure out how to adjust it for Premiere Pro.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Rob,

Check out the slider at the bottom of the Project panel. You can enlarge the size of your list view items and the fonts there by sliding the slider to the right. I hope that helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

For that sort of thing, you need to change the "scaling" options in the OS. Going to say 150% or 200% on scaling for that monitor in the OS might help you out.

The interface font size issue is something that needs to be adjustable across all Adobe programs. Tiny white letters on a black background may work for the very young and keen of sight, but not all of your users fall into those categories.  Please fix this!

Mine system font is set to 133%. Any bigger and everything would be too big generally. What seems daft is that all this expensive mature software is missing such as obvious feature as scalable UI. They seem to assume that every user has microscope-like eyesight.

I can just about see this

Even at maximum it's pretty small.

133% is likely to be an issue for some reason. 100%, 150%, or 200% work better.

I agree - I've just been to the optician for an eye test, there is nothing wrong with my eyes, I'm working on a big 4K screen, and the text is too small to read.

Hello. I work on a 32 inch Cintiq and like the high resolution for drawing and keeping a lot of the UI visable. I would like to see my still and moving images at 1:1 / 100% but would also like to be able to scale the interface of Premiere and After Effects around the images.

The folks at BLENDER figured this out.

I'll also post this as a feature request, but thought it was useful for this thread too.

Cheers!
Benjamin

My monitors are 1920x1080 not 4k, though if an editor was working on 4k content it would make sense that they would need monitors of that resolution.

I really like the black background and white lettering. (I have night mode enabled everywhere I can)  But I would love if if I could make the font bigger on the UI/Menu options etc.  I have my overall PC sized bigger but it doesn't seem to affect the Premiere Pro.  I am using a 26 inch monitor with the correct resolution on it as well.

I tried searching for accessilibilty features or Preferences that gives the option to enlarge font but unable to.  Can someone please point me to where it is?

Thanks!
