Productions -> Project "Save as" results in duplicate IDs

Trevor is correct. For now, if you'd like to do the equivalent of  Save As to a location inside your Production folder, you should right click on the project in the Production panel and choose "Make a copy".

 

I'll take this as feedback to potentially improve Save As in a production, thank you!

'Export as project' does the same thing. I think Adobe have previously said this is deliberate.

Trick is to export / save as outside the production folder (and then 'add to project' if you need it in the production) or just right-click + 'make a copy' within the production window. Not sure what happens to clip linkage though - which is the danger within a production.

Thanks for the answers, actually I knew that you have to make a copy in the production window. But I can't see any benefit that "save as" don't work in Productions. It causes trouble with every freelancer who isn't used to the workflow.
