Please, bring back support for MKV, I have many projects that uses source files in this format and I use them again in other projects, converting then to another format will be disastrous and pain taken.

Couldn't believe it when I fired up ME to discover that MKV import was unsupported

Severely limit's the usefulness of the app in a Broadcast environment

Can anyone share some .MKV files they would like to import into Premiere Pro ?

Unfortunately OBS produces VFR files so it will be buggy anyway

Me too.
I don't need MKV encoding capability, which you never supported (and I never needed!), but please bring back the MKV decoding capability, which had been supported before and is still needed to import the default livestream recording format from OBS in particular into Adobe Premiere.
I haven't had to do an "ingest" step (which is what this forced file conversion is like) since I used a competitor's NLE software a long time ago.

Vanessa, the good news is that you can use File>Remux in OBS to convert your mkv to mp4 and then they're usable in Premiere. The conversion only takes 1 or 2 seconds.

100% agree, just recorded a long live session on OBS, absolutely gutted when I discovered that I cant edit or modify my MKV...

please reimplement this functionality, not being able to edit mkv is very irritating
