Select clips while in Ripple Edit Tool

Hi,

One thing that would be a good shortcut in my workflow would be the ability to select while using the ripple edit tool.  As it is now, I have to go back to the selection tool, select the clips I want to trim, hit B for ripple edit tool and then trim.  Even though I'm fairly quick and I know the keyboard shortcuts instinctively, it still feels like an unneccessary extra step in the process.

Thanks!

Upvoting this. I too have a workflow with stacked clips that this would benefit. It is frustrating to have to keep switching back to the selection tool. When you have a lot of "ums" and "ahhs" to cut out it makes it more tedious going back and forth between the two tools when it would be great to just marquee select with the Ripple or Rolling edit tools.

Yeah, it's not a massive thing, but it's a bit like those audio fade handles that came out in the last update, they really made things smoother and it felt like an Audition feature.  Thanks anyway!

Thanks, it still doesn't allow me to select the clips themselves, only to select trim points that have already been cut.  So for example if I'm in Ripple Edit Tool and I want to stay with that tool, I use my keyboard shortcut to make a cut in 2 out of 3 stacked clips, I still have to go back the selection tool, select the two clips I want, make the cut and then go back into ripple edit tool to trim.  My question was to actually select the clips while in ripple edit mode to save an extra step.
