Sequence Name Effect

Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster.

Doing some digging into trying to have a sequence name appear on screen much in the same way the Clip Name effect does. However instead of the clip name, I'm hoping to have it say the Sequence Name instead. The project I'm working on goes through many many sequences with different versions and codes embeded within the sequence name, and having that crutial bit of info automaically fill in with an effect would be amazing.

I know Text Overlay exists in the export settings, but It would be ideal if I could apply this effect to just one clip (in this case the slate at the top of the video) rather than have it on screen for the whole thing.

Is there such an effect that exists? It would be amazing for our use case. Thanks for reading!

Great suggestion! I logged your feature request and hope to get this added to the Metadata & Timecode Burn-in soon! Thanks for your feedback:)

Take a look at the new effect 'Metadata & Timecode Burn-in'. There's a bunch of options there, but not the sequence name, The one clip of your slate with the right name, may be able to do it as you like.

Let us know what you come up with! 🙂

Amazing! Thank you for the respone!

FWIW MyerPj, I had checked out the Metadata & Timecode Burn-In. Some of the options are super close but not quite what we're hoping for. I did see someone suggested Nesting and using the Project Clip Name after renaming the nested sequence, but we feel that's a few too many steps to give to our editors. All great suggestions and I wasn't aware of the Metadata and TC Burn-in before this adventure 🙂

Thank you all! Really apprecitate the replies!

+1 to this!

I just need to add the sequence name on the first frame of my edits to avoid confussions from reviewers, as some don't bother to check the filename and they just tell me: "We like the third video!" But I don't know if the frameIO link is showing the edits in the same order as I have them on my side. So a single frame at the beginning with the sequence name will help a lot.
