Stop removing old versions of Premiere Pro

It is exceptionally frustrating that Adobe are so quick to remove older versions of their software from the Creative Cloud app.

22.6.4 was, for many I'm guessing, the most stable version of Premiere Pro that has been available for some years.

Yet only 12/13 months after its release, they removed access to it.

Despite many conversations with Adobe Help desk, I just keep hearing that they can't provide a download for 22.6.4. However they CAN give me a link to 22.0.

Why they would be able to provide an unpatched version of 22, but not the most patched version is utterly beyond me.

They claim they don't have it anymore and can't provide it. Which is bonkers for a company that literally makes and distributes software with auto save and version control. Where is Adobe's OWN version control?

I do understand that providing support for older versions is difficult, but they could easily let us download them with a pop up warning saying they don't provide technical support for this version any more.

Honestly, I don't need many of the new features from 23 onwards. They are nice to haves, but not vital. Having a stable version of PrPro IS vital to getting work done though. And to pull a stable version from your paying customers is just going to drive them away.

Now... time to go learn Resolve.

Do you have v22.6.4? I also asked Adobe support, they say they don't have a backup...

I won't comment on versions I haven't had the chance to try, but I found v22.6.4 (now unavailable) to be extremely reliable, fast, smooth, and almost bug-free. It fit my computer and workflow perfectly, and had all the tools and add-ons I needed and more. But v22.6.4 is almost silly to even mention now because there's no place to find and download it anymore.

If you have a link where I could download v22.6.4, please send it to me, I'd really appreciate it.

22.6.4 is not available in CC right now. You can find some versions of it
in google search which are cr***.
But i dont recommend that if you dont know some advanced stuff and to use
your firewall to inbound and outbound files.

I’m on 24 which has been rock solid. But your mileage may vary. I almost
always transcode mpeg sources to ProRes 422 and generate ProRes proxy
proxies

I’ve downloaded and installed 25 but am waiting to start working with it.
At this point, I really don’t need any of the new features

Yes, I contacted them, but they don't have (or don't want to give me) a download link for v22.6.4 (or any other v22).

you might try reaching out to adobe support and see if they can send you a link...

I just encountered the same problem as you.

I didn't want to uninstall Pr v22.6.4, but I was left without that good version due to the need to completely reinstall macOS. I reinstalled macOS to try to solve the huge problems I was having with LRC v14.1, but that didn't solve the LRC problem either, but added another one - now I don't even have the desired version of Premiere Pro!

It is completely incomprehensible to me that Adobe cannot offer to download older versions, with a disclaimer, as you said.

Now I am forced to search for that version on the internet.
