store warp stabalizer data in media cache or scratch disks

Anytime we use warp stablizer, it adds significantly to the project file size. This is problematic as large file sizes cause poor performance. Can adobe find a way to store the data created from warp stabalizer outside of the project file, like in media cache or in a scratch folder?

A lot of projects that lean heavily on handheld material rely on warp stabalizer. In the past I've either resisted using it at all or resorted to doing stablizing in After Effects then rendering. This is way too combersome. We need to be able to use warp stablizer in the app without a ballooning project size.

Thanks for the tip @R Neil Haugen. That would be a great work-around if it worked. What am I doing wrong? When I try to do a render and replace the rendered clip comes out with a "New Frames need analyzing; click Analyze" graphic baked into the render. See attached. I've tried cutting the clip into a stand alone timeline matching clip resolution, detaching proxies, exporting with and without handles. Same result.

Work smart. After it analyzes a clip to your preferences, do a full render & replace to say ProRes 422 or better.

You can always "restore unrendered" to go back if you must. Butvthis saves your computer a LOAD of work forcevery playback and of course for adding other effects and exports.
