Suggestion for FX badge misclicks

So first off, bring back colored FX badges! It was so much more useful visually to tell what kind of effects were used where, super handy for any kind of finishing or prep work.

Secondly, I've been running into a major issue with the new implementation of the FX badges in my work lately. If you click on the badge, it'll open up the effect controls panel. Good idea...in theory. The problem is that ANY click will open the effect control panel, even if you're trying to click and drag a clip. This has become a huge issue for me since I am constantly moving clips around in sequences, and I'm constantly accidentally clicking the FX badge since it's a fairly large space on the clip. If we could either disable the opening of the effect control panel OR make it so it doesn't open until you finish a click, it'd be much more useful. For right now, I just need to turn it off because the misclicks are costing me a lot of time built over a day.

Hi all!

Hope everyone is doing great. I want to give an update to all of you as promised. In the latest Beta, we have fixed the badges mouse click implementation, so you can move a small clip even if you click on the badges. The FX badge is no longer activated on click. If the intention is to move the clip, we won't open the ECP, and you will be able to move the clip freely in the timeline. If you click and release without moving the clip itself, it will open the ECP or the ESP accordingly.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

I wrote a similar post exactly about this issue, would love to see it fixed for the sake of our sanity. Additionally I'm working on another post, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have "Show FX Badges" be assigned to a shortcut key, so even in the interim it now requires a mouse and a menu to even get rid of them quickly to just move a clip.

Hi @KarthXLR this has been logged and the team is already looking into it. I'll keep this thread updated. Thanks!
