Transcription clip name

I use transcriptions to export a txt, then print to create a paper edit with time code. When conforming the edits on the timeline with multiple clips, timecode becomes meaningless when cutting or rearranging. If clip names were added to the time code, then this would be easier.

    I don't know your workflow, but here are some comments that may help you focus your questions.

     

    What version of PR? A recent one with source media transcription?

     

    Is the exported transcript a static transcription of a sequence or of source media?

     

    The new text-based editing keeps the source media timecodes. But once in a sequence, the sequence transcript will be the sequence timecodes.

     

    You can differentiate that transcripts by using the speaker name: you must edit speaker name in the source transcript. Just call all speakers in clip 1, "Clip 1."
