When a clip is selected, after some seconds, Premiere shows its duration.

Please do the same for selected gaps.

In general: Treat gaps like clips where possible (e.g. make it possible to replace a gap with a clip).

Select gap, hit forward slash (mark selection) and read the duration on the right hand side in the Program monitor.

Fill the gap with the 3-point edit technique.
