Undo for color picking

Community Beginner ,

When I use e.g. HSL in Adobe Premiere Pro for color corrections, I grab the color with an eyedropper and can use the plus and minus buttons to define which color I want to include and which I want to exclude. Sometimes I end up with a selection that I am more dissatisfied with than the previous one. Now I want to use the undo function, with Ctrl Z as usual. But that doesn't work. I can only use + and -. I would like to have Undo for the pipette.

I know you can reset the HSL key ... I've done that plenty of times. Or turn off just one of the slider controls.

Well, I don't want to reset the whole thing to start from the beginning. Why is it even not part of every step of the protocol?

The "normal" use is to select some color/tonal range, then use the sliders for each type of value ... hue, saturation, luminance, to refine the selection.

I can't imagine undoing as ... why?

This is of course how refining an HSL key works in Resolve also.

Because it picked up a color range I did not want it to.
It's because of this I try to avoid HSL most of the time and use the curves (Hue vs Hue) instead.

Just curious, do you have any experience selecting or modifying keys using the sliders? As setting a specific color range, both "angle" and the width of selection, plus feathering is very easy and fast.

I use like Hue v Sat or other curves for different things than you would use HSL section for.

I know what you mean. I use the sliders to fine-tune the selection range. With HSL I mainly want to adjust skin tones.
However, it doesn't make sense to me what disadvantage users would have if they could undo every step of the editing.
I thought Adobe would be open to suggestions for changes.

You do understand I'm another user, right? Staffers all have official Adobe badges.

And I didn't say anything against your idea, other than that as a practical matter it doesn't seem an improvement. I can't think of why it would be of help.

You can reset or refine any key attempts in the HSL Secondary tab quickly already.

Even though you're a LEGEND, I disagree.

Naturally! Everyone does everything differently. I expect that, but it seems a shock to so many. Personally, I never assume anyone will agree with my view.

And am always rolling my eyes at those who cannot stand any comments even wondering about the reasons, let alone expressing a different view.

Because we're all different. For instance I don't appreciate the new color scheme and the changes to the Fx badges.

On a different pro editing forum, several other curmugdeonly types were howling about the changes. But they then tried the "vibrant" preset, just to show how utterly stu ... um ....they LOVED it!

Darn. Lost my fellow complainers!
