Question

A low level exception has occurred ImporterJPEG (Importer : 49)

Hello everyone,

I've recently encountered a serious problem in Adobe Premiere Pro CC while I was working on a project.

A lot of errors started to pop up with the message (A low level exception has occurred ImporterJPEG (Importer : 49)) and it made my whole PC slow down until the app had crashed.

I did reset all my preferences, and clean the media cache but it did no differences and whenever I open up this project, errors start to pop and then the app crashes by itself. I've imported a lot of pictures for this project but I don't understand why PP can't stand it.

Do anyone know anything I can try to fix that mess?

Thanks a lot!

Loucca

did you try cleaning the media cache?

Would it be possible to supply us with sample JPEG file(s) that reproduce this low-level exception? This will help with investigation.

R Neal Haugen's suggestions are good workarounds to try.

Thank you!

If you create a new project with a couple clips, does it work ok?

If so, try importing the old project file into a new one via the Media Browser.

Thank you Neil,

I've just tried that one but even on a new project the error message still appears,

Maybe some of the pictures aren't supported by Premiere?

What are the images, and what 'made' them ... plus how are they imported into Premiere? What's the file type and pixel count frame-size?
