AJA Ki Pro Codec Support Question

I've just inherited an AJA Ki Pro Rack recorder but I don't know which codec to choose so that Premiere can work with its recordings. The recorder is limited to Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD options, none of which exactly match those listed in the Premiere specs. Has anyone has success working with any of these codecs in Premiere?

PrPro normally works well with both. Windows machines can edit but not export to ProRes, and the DNx variants by Avid work cross-platform. The names and some such have mutated over time for specific "flavors", as a year back or so Avid completely renamed theirs from a number that matched the bit-rate to the much more helpful, meaningful, "LB", "HQ", "HQX". Sigh.

Give it a whirl. Or post the named flavors that AJA rig lists, to get comments.

You've given me hope. I'm on a Mac, if that's helpful. Here's the rather short list of available codecs. Of all those compatible with Premiere on my Mac, is there one that offers the best balance of quality and size?

• Apple ProRes 422

• Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

• Apple ProRes 422 (LT)

• Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)

• Avid DNxHD HQX (220x)

• Avid DNxHD SQ (145)

• Avid DNxHD LD (36), only provides support for the 1080p format

Should all be fine.
