Audio drivers in Premiere Pro : Asio or Mme ?

I run Windows 10 on a Dell desktop with no soundcard( I was told) and the Premiere Pro 2018 preferences under Audio Hardware had Mme selected by default as the audio driver, however when I changed to Asio the sound is different and more clear without the disturbing hum although quieter. Obviously i should use one audio driver for all editing probably Asio since its clearer but is that the way its going to most probably sound to the mass audience as well or should I use Mme ?

You should be checking your exports on a calibrated TV along with at least good stereo speakers, if not a full Dolby Atmos surround setup.  Don't rely on your computer display and speakers to check the results, not even for YouTube uploads.

    Hi julianm44443758,

According to the theory, in Windows, ASIO drivers support professional cards and MME drivers typically support standard cards.

But it depends on the performance of the cards. The Audio Device class dont really effect output.

Please check this article for more info: Configure preference settings in Premiere Pro

    Thanks,

    Vidya.

I see. Though referring to the soundcards you mention, I have no soundcard ...how do you explain that?
